Generating contracts with international distributors, shipping films and cans, controlling stock. These are the main activities performed by the Telefé Internacional Business Unit, which offers the most successful series and entertainment programs on Argentina’s television to audiences abroad.
The Business Unit comprises a marketing area, in charge of sales, and an administrative area, in charge of the workflow related to the sales process and the after-sales logistics. Both areas used to work with manual processes, recording operations in a bookkeeping system once the process was completed.
The process of selling abroad includes the initial business contact with the distributor, writing a deal memo (a type of draft agreement stating the agreed terms), which has to go through several stages prior to approval, and finally drawing up the contract. From then on, a series of logistic tasks are performed such as sending cans in different formats, and supplying and creating new copies if required.
In view of the increase in contracts and sales, Telefé decided to computerize the area of Telefé Internacional and contacted Nixor for that purpose.
